A Message from SPR President, Paul Saldaña

GRACIAS UnidosUS for bringing the annual national conference back to my home town! I was honored and privileged to serve as the Chair of the Austin Conference Host Committee. I’m thinking about the 300 Mexican Americans who lived in downtown Austin in 1875 who strongly influenced the birth of Austin to make a better life for themselves, family and our community. I know they are PROUD of this past week’s conversations, demonstrated leadership and call to action. My heart is full of ORGULLO.

I am grateful to Janet Murguía for her bold leadership, advocacy, vision and voice as President and CEO of Unidos US and the Unidos US Action Fund. Gracias to Delia De La Vara, Alenka Katsnelson, Zoe Valentin, Andrea Sabillon, Rafael Collazo and the entire Unidos US Familia for entrusting me and my incredible team at Saldaña Public Relations - Stephanie Gatica, Itzel Guerreo, Al Duarte, Adam De Leon, Dieter Mouchkatine, Gaby Hurtado, Mia Sifuentes, Jacob Saldaña, Eliza May, Marco Mancillas, and Margot Villagran to play a supporting role at this year’s conference. What an incredible week in Austin!
