This week I was proud to host Janet Murguía, President & CEO of UnidosUS and her team in a series of meetings with Mayor Kirk Watson, Council Member Vanessa Fuentes, Council Member José Velásquez, State Representative Lulu Flores, Hays Co Judge Rubén Becerra, José Garza, Travis Co District Attorney, District Court Judge María Cantú Hexsel, AISD Trustee LaReesa Quintana, AISD Trustee Andrew Gonzáles, Jacqueline Arias-Bryant, Executive Director of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus and many incredible Austin Latino Community Leaders to formally announce that Austin will host the 2026 Annual UnidosUS Conference in Austin, Texas in late July 2026!

UnidosUS is the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the nation. As a former Board Member of UnidosUS I can personally attest to the incredible work and impact of Janet and the UnidosUS team and the 300 affiliate organizations nationwide.
