newest SPR Summer Professional Intern, Mia Sifuentes!

Mia is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a degree in Government with Honors and a minor in Anthropology. Her academic interests focus on Latino identity and immigration policy. Born in Del Rio and raised in Houston, Mia brings a deep love for Texas and a strong passion for community engagement.

As a first-generation Mexican American, Mia currently serves as a senior reporter for The Texan en Español, where she works to expand access to information for working-class and Latino communities across the Austin area. She has a profound interest in Texas politics and looks forward to growing her experience while giving back to the community through her work at Saldaña Public Relations.
